Twin Cities Pride is a 501(c)3 charitable nonprofit corporation. Our legal name is Gay-Lesbian-Bisexual Transgender Pride/Twin Cities, but we do business as Twin Cities Pride. Pride has three paid employees, Dot Belstler, Executive Director, Amy Brockman, External Relations Manager, and Sean Johnson, Festival Operations Coordinator. They work year around with a team of thirty volunteers and selected contractors to create one of the largest free Pride events in the country.
We have 11-15 nonprofit board members who are not paid. The Executive Director reports to the Board Chair, Darcie Baumann.
We are proud to have achieved the “Meets Standards” requirements of the Charities Review Council. The Accountability Standards® are co-created benchmarks of nonprofit governance, finance, fundraising, and public communication. A balance of nonprofit sector promising practices, public expectations, and legal/regulatory requirements, the standards represent the shared expectations between donors and nonprofits.
