Expanded Children's & Family Area
Presented by Macy's
This year we have partnered with Macy's to expand and improve the Children's and Family Area of the Festival. It will be adjacent to the newly-relocated Rainbow Stage in the south-east corner of the park amongst giant shade trees and a beautiful view of the rest of the park. Featuring family-themed vendors and exhibits, a picnic space and children's entertainment, the Children's & Family Area, presented by Macy's, is one stop that all GLBT families should not miss!
New Stage Locations for 2007
This year, the Stonewall Stage (Drag Stage) and the Rainbow Stage are moving to new locations. The eclectic Rainbow Stage will be located in the southeast corner of the park, right where the Stonewall Stage has been in recent years. The Stonewall Stage will be located near where the Rainbow Stage had been in previous years, near the corner of Hennepin Avenue and West 19th Street, in the southwest portion of the park.
The Loring Stage, presented by Best Buy, will be in the same location as it's been for the last several years, in the center of the park - near the circular formal gardens.
Entertainment
In 2006, we introduced our fourth musical venue, the Classical Stage, with a limited introduced our fourth musical venue, the Classical Stage, with a limited schedule. It was greatly received and will be returning in 2007.

The centrally-located Loring Stage, presented by Best Buy, will get you movin' and groovin' with performances by Festival Headliners Taylor Dayne, Jenna Drey and Bruce Daniels, national artists, your favorite local artists and the most fabulous emcee TiNea. The Loring Stage is also the host of the Opening Ceremony and the Mass Commitment Ceremony.
For 2007 the newly enhanced Rainbow Stage will be moving to the southeast corner of the park. Captivating lyrics, smooth voices, intimate atmosphere... the Rainbow Stage, is the place to sit back, relax and enjoy performances by national artists and your favorite local artists. Folk, R&B, jazz and rock are just a few of the genres you can anticipate spending a war summer's day grooving to. The Rainbow stage will be MC’d this year by the handsome and talented Brent Ripley.
Beautiful Women - Handsome Men performing to great music... this can only be one place - the Stonewall Stage! In a brand new location on the southwest side of the park, Get your dollar bills ready because this stage showcases the best female and male impersonators in the upper Midwest. Continuing her reign as the Stonewall Stage Diva Extraordinar, Agusta Wind will be MC’ing all weekend long.
Enjoy an afternoon of sauntering through the History Pavilion while being serenaded by the classical music performed by local musicians at the Classical Stage. This History Pavilion and the Classical Stage are located in the large, newly-remodeled park building on the east end of the lake in Loring Park. This is a great opportunity to learn abou the history of the GLBT community and movement. Only by learning the lessons of the past will we be able to meet the challenges of the future!
