2007 Grand Marshal's Ball
Tickets go on sale in March
Don't miss the 2007 Grand Marshal's Ball, Saturday, May 12 at the Minneapolis Convention Center in downtown Minneapolis. This annual event serves as a celebration of the many great accomplishments of the GLBT community in the Twin Cities. It is also the event where we introduce the new Grand Marshal to the community and provide a preview of this year's upcoming Pride Celebration.
Twin Cities Pride is proud to announce the 2007 Grand Marshal of the Ashley Rukes GLBT Pride Parade, nationally-recognized GLBT homicide researcher Dallas Drake.
In addition to the Grand Marshal, we will be honoring the winners of the 2007 Pride Community Awards. Community Pride recipient The Aliveness Project, Everyday Hero Award recipient Eileen Scallen and Corporate Achievement recipient Colle+McVoy.
This year, funds raised at this event will not only support the many events produced by Twin Cities Pride, but a portion of the proceeds will benefit Park House, a local nonprofit serving the needs of those living with and affected by HIV/AIDS.
Doors will open at 6:30m beginning with a cocktail reception and a silent auction, followed by a succulent dinner and a brief awards ceremony. Then, dance the night away to sounds provided by a professional DJ.
All are welcome to attend. Tickets will be available on this web site beginning in March. Tickets are $75 per person, or $750 for a table seating 10.
This event will be ASL interpreted.
