GLBT Pride/Twin Cities has been asked to comment on the controversy over political donations made by corporations, including Target and Best Buy, to a political organizataion supporting a candidate for Governor with a history of anti-GLBT positions and policies.  We know that this is a painful dispute for all concerned.

Pride Festival Organizers Ask Federal Court for Emergency Order Directing Park Board to Abide by US Supreme Court Ruling

Want anti-gay activist prohibited from freely distributing materials throughout festival

MINNEAPOLIS — Organizers of the Twin Cities Pride Festival have asked the Federal Court to reverse the Minneapolis Park and Recreation Board’s permission for an anti-gay activist to hand out flyers and other materials at the Pride Festival in Loring Park this weekend. More than 200,000 Minnesotans are expected to attend the two-day festival.

Pride Festival organizers disappointed by Federal Court order sustaining Park Board’s permission for anti-gay activist to freely distribute materials on Pride Festival grounds

MINNEAPOLIS — A Federal judge has denied a request by Pride Festival organizers to prohibit an anti-gay activist from disseminating flyers, Bibles and other materials on leased Minneapolis Park Board property in Loring Park this weekend.

Twin Cities Pride seeks Federal Court injunction Tuesday

MINNEAPOLIS — A federal court injunction will be sought by organizers of the Twin Cities Pride Festival unless the Minneapolis Park and Recreation Board reverses its approval of an anti-Gay activist to spew his message of sin and condemnation on the festival grounds in Loring Park this weekend.
