2010 Pride Art Show Call for Art

DEADLINE EXTENDED

Twin Cities Pride has extended the deadline and is still accepting submissions from artists for a juried exhibition to be displayed during the 2010 Twin Cities Pride Festival being held June 26-27. Selected pieces of art will be displayed at the Grand Marshal’s Reception on Thursday, June 10. Winners will be honored during the awards presentation at the Grand Marshal’s Reception. This exhibition is sponsored by the Twin Cities Pride, Ai Minnesota, and the GLBT Alliance at Ai Minnesota.

Below are the submission guidelines:

  1. There is no entry fee required.
  2. Only two-dimensional work will be accepted. So, please, no sculpture! Work that does not comply will not be reviewed.
  3. Only those who, if accepted, can hand deliver and pickup their work may apply.
  4. Each artist may submit three works for consideration. Entries will be accepted via email only. The deadline for the digital submission is May 21, 2010.  Late submissions will not be accepted.

  5. Selected pieces are due by June 1, 2010.  If selected, all work must be framed, and ready for display.  Artwork will be displayed on easels.
  6. In the body of your email, you must include the following information: name, address, email address , phone, entry number (corresponding to attached files), title of work, medium (ink jet print, offset litho, etc.), and framed size.
  7. Files should be no larger than 600px on their widest side and no more than 96ppi. Naming protocol: LastName_FirstInitial_001 (number will correspond to the list in the body of the email.
  8. While the greatest care will be used in the handling of artworks, neither Twin Cities Pride nor The Art Institutes International and its employees will accept no liability for damaged or stolen works while on the premises of The Art Institutes International Minnesota or the Twin Cities Pride Festival grounds. It is recommended that artists obtain their own insurance, should this be of concern.
  9. The gallery reserves the right to not display any works that are not finished in a professional manner with regard to framing, or do not accurately replicate the submitted work.
