EVENT DESCRIPTION

Out Twin Cities Film Festival is an annual function that will include international and locally produced films. The Mission of Out Twin Cities Film Festival is to Connect and Celebrate The Diversity of Our Communities Through The Art of Cinema.

Minnesota, being one of the largest LGBT communities, is ripe for a ground breaking and timely queer cinema festival. June 1–2, 2010 will mark the first annual "Out Twin Cities Film Festival," which will be hosted at the beautifully refurbished historic Heights Theater at 3951 Central Ave in Columbia Heights, Minnesota. Heights Theater is conveniently located on bus line # 10N.

Out Twin Cities Film Festival commences on the first day of Pride Month for GLBT Twin Citians. The theme for Out Twin Cities Film Festival 2010 is Indivisible Through Cinema. The mission of Out Twin Cities Film Festival is to celebrate and connect our diverse community through the art of cinema.

“Assume Nothing” by Kirsty MacDonald, a New Zealand Film Maker, will premiere as a special presentation at the 'Out Twin Cities Film Festival' June 1st at 7PM.

'Beyond Gay' The Politics of Pride, directed by Bob Christie, premieres at 'Out Twin Cities Film Festival' June 2nd at 7PM.

Admission for the Out Twin Cities Film Festival is $15.00 for the two days. In addition to the films, there will be special entertainment. The festival promises crazy bang for your buck. After Party!

Tickles Bar will be the host for the After Party of the Out Twin Cities Film Festival!

Dates: Tuesday, June 1st & Wednesday, June 2nd, 2010

Time: 11:30 – Both Nights

Submission deadline for film makers to enter is Friday, May 14th at 4:00 PM. Film categories include: Drama; Comedy; Sci-Fi; Horror; Experimental; Documentary; and Music Video. The fee for film maker submissions is $25.00. Film makers can submit more than one film in any category with a separate submission form and fee.

Out Twin Cities Film Festival strives to develop partnerships with other local and international film festivals. Let's bring queer cinema back to Minnesota.
